Configure Windows Registry Values in VMware Horizon in Specific Scenarios

Need to update the registry in specific scenarios within your VMware Horizon virtual desktop environment and tired of trying to accomplish with group policy? With the VDI ToolKit and its rules engine, you can now easily configure the windows registry on any VMware Horizon virtual desktop for any scenario. An example would be to update the Citrix receiver client hostname registry key to the actual hostname of the client that the user is connecting to their virtual desktop from. Such an example is helpful in environments with virtualized applications that depend on the client hostname, such as Cerner's electronic medical health record. Also, any applications that use the registry for configuration can be updated to ensure locally installed applications are configured as expected.
